Also, you can switch to snakeskin boots if you like. Remember that this is the wellfare gear which should be good for learning the ropes. You can also choose other gear but do keep in mind to have only 3 good items on you so you don't lose anything valuable.
Items kept on death:

Tactics:
Range it. Pray mage, eagle eye and keep moving. If you're targeted run underneath it.
Gear and Inventory (Melee):
That is Zamorakian spear.
Take 3 brews and 3 restores when there is less than 8 ppl.Bandos armour above can be changed with initiate armour (second best choice).
Tactics:
Simple, pot up before entering piety + mage pray and hit it. If you're targeted run underneath it.
WARNING!
After you die: Set your respawn point to falador, grab energy pot and games neck from bank and tele to clan wars. you should be able to pick up from 3 to 10 items before they disappear.
